James + Ashley ~Engagement Auburn Valley Country Club

James and Ashley are a wonderful couple and natural in front of the camera. They are getting married in just a few short weeks. Their engagement picture were done at Auburn Valley Country Club. I was a little worried at first because it was so windy. However, I think we got some really good shots. I can't wait to photograph their wedding.

Sarah + Joe Engagement Caloma, CA

Sarah and Joe were so much fun to work with! They decided to do there engagement session in Caloma because they love the old buildings, river and open fields. I agree with them, Caloma is a great place to pictures. They wanted some fun effects done with their pictures so I did a few things like textures, borders and color enhancement for them. I look forward to photographing their wedding, I know it is going to be a wonderful.

Amie and Nick Engagement

It has been a rainy spring in Northern California. Almost all of the engagement and family portrait sessions I had scheduled had to be postponed, Amie and Nick's were no exception. We managed to find an afternoon where the sun came out from behind the clouds. I headed up to Winchester Country Club to photograph this lovely couple. Amie and Nick's wedding is just a few short weeks away, I look forward to photograph them tying the knot.

Phil + Amber Wedding

Phil and Amber were a great couple to work with. They were married at the Horsemen's Lodge in Nevada City. It was a unique wedding, but fit them well. I met them when photographing Phil's sisters wedding back in January. We were able to escape the lodge and roam around Downtown Nevada City to catch a few shots. I wish them the best in their marriage.

Magnolia Tree ~ Auburn, CA

I really look forward to the beginning of spring because all the plants and trees start to come alive. Every morning I take my chocolate lab on a walk in my neighborhood. I noticed this amazing magnolia tree just starting to bloom. I think Magnolia trees are one of the most beautiful trees when they flower. I ran home grabbed my camera and went right back to the tree to capture its beauty. Here are a few of the pictures I got.

Jaime + Marcella Engagement ~ Sacramento

I met Jaime and Marcella at an orchard just north of Sacramento to do their engagement pictures between two major rain storms. It was at an almond orchard and they wanted the flowers to be in bloom for their engagement pictures. It has been so rainy the past few weeks that it was hard to find a good time to do the photos. Luckily there was a break in the storm and the trees were in bloom so we jumped at the opportunity. They will be getting married later this year at the Auburn Valley Country Club and I really look forward to working with them again.

Baby Lucas

Baby Lucas was a great little subject. He was about 8 weeks old when these pictures were taken. Lucas came up to Auburn from Roseville to get his baby portraits taken. He was a happy little guy the whole time. For newborn portraits I generally bring a studio to the babies house and am able to capture all the images there. Parents really like this because they don't have to deal with public places.
